Now, for the first time Europe is meeting with a new aspect of Turkey,” it said. Last year, the Turkish national football team, a relative outsider, came in an unexpected third at the Football World Cup held in South Korea and Japan. And last August, Turkish sportsmen walked off with a raft of gold medals at the European Stars Weightlifting Championship in France. “She conquered Europe”.

He was 10 years old and watched on television as Roger Milla scored in overtime, giving the Indomitable Lions a 2-1 win and the first spot for an African team in the World Cup quarterfinals. “After the match, we went out on the street making a lot of noise,” Kwekeu said Tuesday. “In Cameroon, we love football so much. ” Fans danced until dawn in the streets of Yaounde, Cameroon’s capital, after the big win in the second round of the World Cup on June 23, 1990. Milla, then 38, came out of retirement to play in the tournament and scored twice against the South Americans, raising his tournament total to four. “It was just a big party,” said Cameroon captain Lucien Mettomo, who was 13 at the time. Forward Valery Mezague was just 6 years old and lived in France… Like the other teams in this tournament, Cameroon isn’t at full strength and is looking ahead. “The object is to create a new team,” coach Winnie Schaefer said through a translator. “The goal is to qualify the team for the African Cup of Nations and the 2006 World Cup in Germany. ” Still, Cameroon is taking Thursday’s game seriously. The team left downtown Lyon on Tuesday to train near Saint-Etienne. “We need quiet,” Schaefer said. Colombia seeks glory, revenge LYON, France (AP) — Watch out for Colombia.

Fulham’s Chairman, Mohamed Al Fayed received an official request for Frank to be allowed to take the trip back to his native country between the 6th and 13th of July to offer his expertise in pitch maintenance. Frank said, “There are two main stadiums in Ghana one is at Kumasi and the other in Accra. No doubt I will look at these stadiums first, then perhaps at some of the others as well as the training facilities currently available. The Ghanaian FA are planning to look at their facilities in more detail and the idea here is to try and get the two hand in hand –i… The pitches I saw out there were dry and in Ghana the weather jumps from one extreme to another. At the moment the rainy season will just be starting making it difficult to use any machinery. The FA are preparing for the next world cup in 2006. I am really going to look at the short-term requirements as well as looking ahead to the longer-term needs. In terms of immediate practices, I will look at the fertilizing and watering regimes and the amount of hours work currently allocated to be spent on the pitches. I have to find out what sort of irrigation procedures they have in place, and at what standard. When you are dealing with a place like Africa, during the dry periods the people are struggling to find water for themselves, let alone find water for a pitch.

Ziese feels Ghana heat
BBC News – Jun 24, 2003
Ziese was given the task on April 1, after a popular public outcry in support of his appointment. He had steered the Black Stars to their first Nations Cup in 1992 after an eight-year absence. Initially, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) had rejected his application for the job along with two other candidates. Nevertheless Ziese was given the job after the majority of fans criticised the GFA’s decision. Now Ziese is facing the challenge that he is the right man for the job. The 59-year-old is on a two-year renewable contract. And part of his assignment is to take Ghana to the 2006 World Cup in his native Germany… Now Ziese is facing the challenge that he is the right man for the job. The 59-year-old is on a two-year renewable contract. And part of his assignment is to take Ghana to the 2006 World Cup in his native Germany. Sturm Graz striker Charles Amoah scored the vital equaliser for Ghana six minutes from time to cancel out Assani Bajoba’s first-half goal. But Ghana could still go through with a draw in Kigali against Rwanda in the last qualifying game because of a superior goal difference. Ziese refused to talk to the Ghanaian media after the match, but his players put a brave face on the unimpressive performance. Captain Stephen Appiah said: “We did our best under the circumstances.

“I don’t see any point in his staying until the next Six Nations. ”

Jones’ former Wales half-back partner Jonathan Davies added: “If we don’t get to the World Cup quarter-finals he (Hansen) should go then and there. ”

Hansen last week received the backing of the WRU general committee, in the face of a growing body of opinion that the national team should have a Welsh coach.

FULHAM WAIT FOR FIFA MARLET VERDICT
4TheGame – Jun 20, 2003
FIFA ordered Fulham to pay up back in February. The club appealed and the case involving Marlet – who Fulham ironically now want to sell to reduce their wage bill – could finally be assessed next Saturday. However, that depends on FIFA’s 24-man executive committee finding time – because the main purpose of the meeting at the Hotel Sofitel in Paris is to assess plans to bump the 2006 World Cup up from 32 teams to 36. A FIFA spokesman said: “The next executive committee meeting is on June 28 and this case will potentially be on the agenda.

In the Carew case, world football`s governing body ruled the Cottagers broke transfer laws by agreeing a deal subject to a medical – which he failed – and said they must pay Valencia 5% of his proposed ?9. Marlet`s deal went through in August 2001 but the Cottagers refused to pay the final ?3. 27million chunk of the ?11. 5million fee due to concerns over the role of agents in the deal… However, that depends on FIFA`s 24-man executive committee finding time – because the main purpose of the meeting at the Hotel Sofitel in Paris is to assess plans to bump the 2006 World Cup up from 32 teams to 36. If the Marlet appeal is not on the agenda, the full executive committee would not able able to discuss it again until their next meeting in Doha, Qatar, in October. However, FIFA rules state an appeal “may be dealt with by an ad hoc three-man sub-committee“ who could meet on another date over the summer. A FIFA spokesman told the Press Association: “Fulham formally appealed the decision taken by FIFA`s players` status committee on February 26. “This matter falls under the jurisdiction of the October 1997 regulations on the status and transfer of players – and as such, appeals come before the executive committee.

Do not list cards for 1,000,000 cards if they are worth 100. It does not make sense, and waste precious space that you could be making money with. Also the whole 11111 trick does not work, unless the person is really stupid, especially if you organize the list by price. You will clearly see it is not worth the deal. While I am sure it has worked in the past, this is also wasting space. The best way is to be realistic if you want to sell your cards in a timely fashion.
