Bid regulationsAt its meeting in Nyon, Switzerland, the UEFA Executive Committee approved the bid regulations for EURO 2012, which means that all member associations will have until 31 January 2005 to inform European football’s governing body about their interest in hosting the final round in under eight years’ time. December 2006 decisionBid dossiers will have to be submitted to UEFA by 21 July 2005, and the Executive Committee will draw up a shortlist of up to three bidders in November 2005. The hosts of EURO 2012 will be named in December 2006. The two countries agreed to postpone a final decision for ayear while they looked into the bid. “Romania is not able to host such an important event,” FRFpresident Mircea Sandu told reporters on Saturday.
